Thanks to all our educational partners for a great first half of the school year. We are encouraged by the level of engagement we have received from you this school year.

I want to make you aware of some exciting things that will be occurring upon return from the Winter Break:

A new science wing will be opening at Pacheco High School. The $5,014,350 project was approved in 2016 and funded (via Measure X) in 2019. It adds 10,580 square feet to the site. Construction started in June 2021. Contractors are putting finishing touches on the building; it should be ready for classes by the second semester.

A Dual Language Immersion program is being established at Los Banos Elementary School. The purpose of this program is for students to become bilingual and biliterate learners.

Pacheco High School will soon be host to a Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps program. JROTC programs can be affiliated with any branch of service. Pacheco will be affiliated with the United States Army

Loftin stadium is being updated. A new structure, which consists of a concession stand, equipment storage rooms, team rooms, restrooms and a new ticket booth, is under construction. This project, totaling $6,979,000, is also being funded with Measure X Dollars.

Your commitment to LBUSD schools is critical to the success of all students. It is a partnership! Together we can continue providing the support our students need and deserve.
