Editor’s note: Kristie Marion was named Chief Administrative Officer of Memorial Hospital Los Banos on Aug. 8. This is her first article for the Westside Express for what is hoped will be a regular feature for the newspaper.
I am excited to have the opportunity to lead Memorial Hospital Los Banos as we come out of an extremely difficult time in healthcare.
I’m honored to work with an exceptional group of talented leaders, providers and front-line staff as we come out of the height of the pandemic. I believe there are great opportunities to engage our clinicians and providers in a positive way to strengthen our care delivery, expand access and grow our services.
Having spent most of my life as a member of this community, I truly care about the health and wellbeing of our friends, families, and neighbors. I am committed to moving this organization forward in a way that makes Memorial Hospital Los Banos a great place to work, practice and receive care–a place where staff and providers continue to focus on providing an exceptional quality experience, and patients feel confident seeking their care.
Of course, we will continue the progress towards a new facility, but equally important to me is to provide an experience for our patients that lets them see past the age of the building to the great work and skill that is provided by a wonderful team of extremely competent providers, clinicians, and support staff. I am proud to lead these men and women who give their all every day to meet the needs of the amazing community we have the privilege of serving.
I plan to continually assess the growing access needs and work with my teams and Sutter Health to bring new providers and services to close any gaps. I’m always seeking creative ways to address the needs of our growing community and to use the resources available to us to deliver the exceptional care the people of this community deserve.
Rest assured, although things might not appear to be changing, major upgrades in the infrastructure are taking place that will give us the ability to increase and add needed services. We are continually adding equipment and technology that allows us to enhance the quality of care we provide. Each step takes us closer to the goal of fulfilling our communities needs right here at home. .
