Bethel Community Church recently held an Operation Christmas Child event at their church.
People were invited to attend an evening of carnival games, face painting and fellowship as they filled shoe boxes with items for children ages two to 14. The boxes will be given to children living in other counties who do not always receive Christmas presents.
This was the first time that Bethel Community Church held such an event and many are already planning for next year.
Each box will contain a hand-written note of encouragement. The church filled 200 boxes. After they were all filled, the members of the church prayed over the boxes that they would be a blessing to each child.
