As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week (Jan. 28-Feb. 2), I am filled with gratitude and joy to see Our Lady of Fatima School community united in faith and fellowship. During this week, we celebrate not just our academic achievements but the bonds that tie us together as one family under  the loving gaze of Our Lady of Fatima.

Our theme for this Catholic Schools Week, “United in Faith and Community,” resonates deeply with the spirit of our school. Our Lady of Fatima has always been a beacon of faith, guiding us through the years with her motherly care and intercession. As a school community, we come together to reflect on the significance of unity in our journey of faith.

In the Gospel, Jesus reminds us that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is present among them. This sacred gathering is a testament to our shared commitment to live out our faith in unity. As a community, we are not just individuals attending the same school; we are a family bound by the common thread of faith and love for one  another.

Our Lady of Fatima, the patroness of our school, exemplifies the virtues of faith, hope and love. Her apparitions emphasized the importance of prayer, penance and conversion. Today, let us take a moment to reflect on how we can embody these virtues in our lives and strengthen the bonds of unity within our community.

As we navigate the challenges of the academic year, we find solace and strength in our shared faith. It is this faith that unites us and empowers us to face any obstacle that comes our way. Together, as a united community, we can overcome challenges, support one another, and grow in our journey of faith.

During this Catholic Schools Week, let us renew our commitment to fostering a spirit of community within our schools, our neighborhoods and our town. May we continue to be a source of support and encouragement for each other, recognizing that each member of our community plays a vital role in our collective journey of faith.

In conclusion, I want to express my gratitude to each student, parent, teacher and staff member for contributing to the beauty that is Our Lady of Fatima School. Together, let us remain united in faith and community, inspired by the example of Our Lady of Fatima.

May God bless you all abundantly and may Our Lady of Fatima intercede for us always.

 Amen.
