A stolen electric bike investigation that began in Dos Palos last month has led to the arrest of a Firebaugh woman, according to law enforcement.
The Dos Palos Police Department revealed Wednesday that it had placed someone in custody who was in possession of the bicycle.
Police said the investigation began July 6 shortly after receiving a report of a bike theft at State Foods Super Market on the 2600 block of Blossom Street. The bike was a 26-inch Khaki colored Zeegr F1 Pro electric bicycle valued at more than $1,400, according to Dos Palos police.
A detective identified the suspect as Adriana Guillen, 37, of Firebaugh. The detective contacted the Firebaugh Police Department to assist in the investigation.

On Aug. 1, the Dos Palos Police Department and the Firebaugh Community Intervention and Search Warrant Team executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence on the 1800 block of River Lane in Firebaugh.
Dos Palos Police said the electric bicycle was found at the residence. Guillen was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grand theft and possession of stolen property. She was booked into Merced County Jail. It is unclear if she’s been released on bond.
