Two Los Banos residents were taken into custody for gun violations during a multi-agency operation, according to local law enforcement.

On June 30 Los Banos police detectives worked with members of the Merced Area Gang and Narcotic Taskforce and the Merced County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team to execute a search warrant in the 1700 block of Mills Drive.

At the residence, five illegal firearms, various magazines, gun parts and multiple items of digital evidence were discovered, according to law enforcement.

Los Banos Police Department Cmdr. Justin Melden said Andrew Setterberg, 18, and Alicia Cuevas, 41, both of Los Banos, were arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal firearms and possessing a rifle with a barrel less than 16 inches.

Melden said the pair was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail facility. He said the suspects have since been freed on bond.

The Los Banos Police Department is expressing gratitude to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office (SWAT Team) and the agents with the Merced Area Gang and Narcotic Task Force for their assistance in the investigation and the service of the warrant.
