Grasslands Elementary School
Grasslands Elementary is deeply honored to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dollar General for their generous donation of $5,000 to our school.
This incredible contribution will directly support our literacy programs, helping us continue to foster a love of reading and learning among our students.
Dollar General has long been a staple in our community, providing not only essential goods and services but also demonstrating an unwavering commitment to education.
Their dedication to literacy stems from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, which was established 30 years ago by the company’s founding family. This foundation was created with the hope of empowering individuals to pursue their educational goals and dreams by investing in literacy programs.
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, schools and libraries located within a 15-mile radius of Dollar General stores. Through their grants, they have been instrumental in funding programs that teach children and adults to read, provide access to books and enhance literacy skills.
At Grasslands Elementary, we believe that literacy is the foundation of all learning, and we are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to develop strong reading skills.
Thanks to Dollar General’s generosity, we can expand our efforts to make reading more accessible and enjoyable for our students. Grasslands Elementary will use these funds to purchase more books for our school library, allowing students to have access to a variety of genres and interests.
On behalf of our staff, students and families, we thank Dollar General for their support and investment in our children’s futures. Their partnership in education demonstrates the power of community collaboration in making a lasting impact.
