The following results are preliminary and will change as the counties process ballots. As of 5 p.m. on Nov. 22 all mail-in, early voting, and Election Day ballots have been counted. Conditional/Provisional ballots are the last ones being processed. Those ballots take longer to process.  

As of 5 p.m. on Nov. 22, there are still 2,939 unprocessed votes in Merced County. There are still 4,800 votes unprocessed in Fresno County according to a phone call with the Westside Express at 4:56 p.m. on Nov. 22.
Los Banos mayor’s race is currently led by former Los Banos Mayor Micheal Amabile with 5,407

votes (43.82%). Amabile is followed by Refugio Llamas with 4,247 ballots (34.42%). Current Los

Banos Mayor Paul Llanez sits at 2,623 ballots (21.26%). The total number of votes counted in the race is 12,338.
For Los Banos Council District 1, incumbent Kenneth Lambert has the lead with 1,316 votes (51.91%). His challenger Tommy Leyva trails 121 votes behind with 1,195 votes (47.14%).
For Los Banos Council District 4, incumbent Deborah Lewis leads 53.34% of the vote, or 1,605

votes. Her challenger Travis Loebig has 1,392 votes (46.26%).
The recall of Los Banos Councilmember Doug Begonia Jr., in District 2, is currently succeeding

with 81.55% of the vote, or 2,573 voters. The vote against rests at 580 votes (18.45%).
The recall of Los Banos Councilmember Brett Jones, in District 3, is currently succeeding with

2,500 votes(75.44%). The vote against rests at 814 votes (24.56%).
The Los Banos Unified School District, Area 4, currently has Luis Castro leading with 979 votes

(65.70%). The Incumbent Gary E Munoz currently has 502 votes (33.69%).
Measure P in Merced County is currently succeeding with 11,828 votes (76.48%). 3,637 votes are against (23.52%).
Measure R in Merced County is currently failing with 42,818 votes (55.76%) with 33,968 votes against (44.24%). The bond measure requires a 2/3rds majority to pass.

In the Dos Palos-Oro Loma Joint Unified School District Area 4, Lisa Areias leads with 241 votes (54.16%). Jasmin Goncalves has 201 votes (45.17%).
In Area 6 District, Frank Lemos leads with 293 votes (61.43%). His challenger Michael Bryant has 178 votes (37.32%).
For Dos Palos Mayor, Kathy Miller Reed ran unopposed and won 1,240 votes of 1,311 total (94.58%).
For Dos Palos Council Armando Bravo got 1,019(53.83%) votes and Marcus Porter had 842 votes (44.48%). They both will get a spot on the council.
The Santa Nella County Water District Directors election has 4 candidates, for 3 spots. John Schranz has taken the lead with 219 votes (31.88%), Susan Walker is second with 208 votes (30.25%), followed by Stephen M. Landry with 173 votes (25.18%), and Wayne Tallman last at 75 votes (10.92%).

In the City of Firebaugh City Council election, four candidates ran for three seats. Currently, Elsa Lopez has 928 votes (33.53%), followed by Alfred Valdez with 886 (32.01%), and Brady Jenkins Jr., with 570 votes (20.59%). The certified write-in candidate, Veronica Navarro, has 381 votes (13.76%).

Firebaugh voters were asked if they wanted the city clerk and city treasurer to be appointed rather than elected. In the city clerk race 862 voted yes (54.38%) and 723 voted no (45.62%). For the city treasurer, 845 voted yes (55.41%) and 680 voted no (44.59%). In order for both to pass they must be 50 percent plus 1 vote).

Measure F in Firebaugh is passing 1,133 (65.04%) yes votes to 609 (34.96%) no votes. The measure is a Firebaugh-Las Deltas Unified School District School Bond. The measure requires 55 percent to pass.

For the Firebaugh-Las Deltas school board races in area Number 2, Maribel Muños is leading with 251 votes (56.53%). Deanne Crockett has 193 votes (43.47%). In the Number 3 area Robert Aguayo leads with 231 votes (60.95%). Abel Serrano has 148 votes (39.05%).

Final results are expected to be certified by Dec. 3.
