We regret to announce the passing of Thomas Spadafore Jr., aged 86, who passed away peacefully at his home on July 19, 2024, in Los Banos, CA. Tom was born in Stockton, CA to Thomas and Louise Spadafore on November 18, 1937.
In his early days, Tom worked as a barber, then pursued his dreams in the hay business. Tom’s dedication and hard work allowed him to own and operate Spadafore Hay. He then passed the business onto his son.
After that, Tom worked as a Hay Broker for Bowles Farming and Associated Feed, retiring in 2008. Tom was a respected member of his profession and known for his professionalism and friendship with his customers.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom was a devoted family man who loved his family and friends above all else. He was a beloved husband to Pati Spadafore of 61 years and a devoted father to his two children as well as many others that crossed his path. His big heart made him a cherished and loyal friend to all.
In his free time, Tom enjoyed finding new projects around his home, which brought him so much joy. He also enjoyed driving around his beloved town and keeping up with his friends over a cup of coffee at Ryan’s Place.
Tom loved cooking for his family and community events. He actively supported and contributed to the 4-H and FFA communities by boarding animals at his home and helping out the kids.
While devoting his time to the community, he never failed to make time for his wife and family. Tom and Pati made frequent trips to Pismo where they would visit car shows, where he shared his love for old cars and quality time with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife Pati Spadafore, his children Rob Spadafore (Los Banos) Dawn Spadafore (Boise, Idaho), his grandchildren, Patrick, Haley, and Tyler Spadafore (Los Banos) and his siblings Adaline Barone (Sacramento), Evelyn Pereira (Los Banos), Theresa Honeychurch (Stockton), and Mary Ann Paradiso (Los Banos), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas and Louise Spadafore(Los Banos), his brother Mike Spadafore (San Jose) and sister Louise Klock(Merced).
A private mass and memorial event will be announced at a later time. Tom Spadafore will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family, friends, and colleagues. The Spadafore Family would like to thank the friends and family who have sent their condolences.
