At its Oct. 5 meeting the Los Banos City Council appointed Paul Tualla as the new Los Banos Fire Chief.
Los Banos Police Commander Ray Reyna, who has been filling in as the interim Los Banos Fire Chief, introduced the new fire chief to the council, sharing that Tualla was a former police officer, has a master’s degree in business administration, was most recently working for the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District as a fire investigator, and was a part-time fire chief with the Montezuma Fire District in the Stockton area.
Interim Los Banos City Manager, Greg Wellman, during his report to the council, invited the newly appointed fire chief to speak. “I have over 30 years of public safety experience in law, fire and emergency medical services,” Tualla said, “so I look forward to working here in the city of Los Banos.”
All members of the council, along with City Manager Wellman, congratulated and welcomed the newly appointed fire chief.
