Memorial Hospital of Los Banos has announced that Kristie Marion has been promoted to become the Chief Administrative Officer/Chief Nurse Executive. The promotion was effective August 8.
Marion follows Dr. Phillip Yu as the lead administrator of the Los Banos hospital, after Yu recently left to take a position as Chief Medical Executive at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento.
Marion, a registered nurse, is well prepared for this new combined role, having spent many years as a certified nursing assistant, registered nurse, nurse traveler, obstetrics (OB) staff/charge nurse, OB and Rural Health Clinic manager, chief nurse executive and most recently interim hospital administrator.
Marion began her nursing career at Memorial Hospital of Los Banos in 2002 and became chief nurse executive in 2014. She is well known by the local community and is an advocate for the physicians, the hospital and patients.
Los Banos Memorial Hospital is part of the Sutter Health network. Marion is already well integrated in Sutter Health as a chief nursing executive and will continue to leverage her relationships to promote patient care and expansion of services for the community of Los Banos and surrounding communities.
