The Dos Palos High School junior class hosted the prom this year on May 10 at the Cotton Tree Ranch in Los Banos.

The junior class has been working hard throughout the school year to put this dance together, and their efforts will not go to waste, as the dance turned out to be a huge success. It was a night full of dancing, singing and making memories that will last a lifetime.

The junior class officers were in charge of planning this dance, and they would not have been able to pull it off without the help of their advisors.

There were many things that made this dance special and fun. One of those things was the drinks. They had a selection of drinks at a bar with fun names such as Blue Mermaid and Shirley Temple. They even finished off the drinks with a splash of edible glitter.

To go with the drinks was a selection of food to fuel everyone up. They served chicken, tri-tip, scalloped potatoes, green beans, salad and bread. The students in attendance got to pick and choose what they had.

While everyone feasted on their food, it came time for the long-awaited announcement on who would be crowned prom king and queen. Alinnah Sotelo was crowned prom queen, along with Sixto Ibarra, who was crowned prom king.

The night continued, and everyone joined in on the dance floor and just danced to the beat of the music. There was also a 360 photo booth, which took a video along with the photos, which was also a huge hit.

Everyone in attendance made lasting memories that night; however, it was also a bittersweet night for seniors, seeing the people with whom they grew up all dressed up in their best attire for one of their last high school moments together.
