Local home developer and farmer Greg Hostetler, who has given away turkeys for Thanksgiving for more than three decades, continued the tradition of giving in memory of his wife Cathie, who died in 2010, by again giving away 500 turkeys on Nov. 13 to Los Banos residents outside the  O’Banion Auditorium at the Los Banos Fairgrounds. The giveaway was on a first-come, first-serve basis from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There was a limit of one turkey per household. The last turkey was given away at noon.
