With the departure of powerhouse teams (like the Los Banos Tigers and Mountain House Mustangs) from the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), the Pacheco Panthers feel they can compete for a league championship in the 2024 season.

Varsity Head Coach Jeremy Siemiller and his team will rely heavily on the running game, with Issac Valencia, Joe Franco and Joseph Valencia leading their rushing attack.

Aiden Pikas and Brennan Watkins will share the duties at the quarterback position and throw passes to Arturo Anguiano, Peyton Mosley, Zealand Hatcher and Jacob Taueetia.

Xavier Flores (a three-year starter) will anchor the Panthers’ offensive line, with Siaosi Via, Zachary Perkins and Juan Gonzalez joining him up front.

The Panthers’ defense will feature an entirely new look in 2024, with Jon Betschart returning to the coaching ranks as Pacheco’s defensive coordinator.

Betschart will have several returning starters on the defensive side of the ball, including Franco, Anguiano, Hatcher and Christian de la O who will be manning the defensive backfield.

The Valencias (Joseph and Issac), Mosley and Ivan Quiroz will handle the linebacker positions for the Pacheco defense.

Flores, Via, Perkins and Donovan Castro will anchor the defensive line for the Panthers. With their size and strength, this unit could be very formidable.

With a healthy and improved 2024 performance, the Pacheco Panthers look for a very successful football season.
