The Merced County Office of Education and the Merced County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services will host a grand opening and open house of the Student Resiliency Center and many other programs on June 27.

The grand opening invites members of the community to tour the Thorington building and gain insight into the programs that serve students and families across Merced County.

The grand opening will take place on June 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. The Thorington building is located at 1640 N Street, Merced.

The Student Resiliency Center offers mental health services such as trauma reduction, suicide prevention and provides behavioral health-related professional development for school staff.

Attendees will also learn about additional programs at this location, which include the Empower Program, Foster and Homeless Youth Services, California Youth Health Behavior Initiative, Family Resource Center and the Virginia Smith Trust.
