The Los Banos High School Tiger baseball team opened their 2025 CCC league schedule winning two games over the Merced Bears.

Last week the Tigers (2-1 CCC) battled the Merced Bears in three games, and defeated the Bears in two of them, winning the first game in Merced Wednesday in the first game of a double header 11-1, but dropping the night cap 8-2.

Then on Friday on their home diamond, the Tigers won for the second time defeating the Bears by the score of 12-2.

Sophomore Moises Perez turned in a fine performance on the pitching mound, and Julian Cazares, Jack Goodger, Eric Moncada, Josh Gargano and Rayner McMurray provided the offense for Los Banos.

The Tiger Junior Varsity squad (2-0 CCC) won both of their games against the young Bears, 7 to 1 on Wednesday and 12 to 2 on Friday.

Issac Garcia and Fernando Cornejo were stellar for the Tigers on the pitcher’s mound, and Johnathon Snapp, Jaxon Mancebo, Jackson Diaz and Mike Lopez provided the offense for Los Banos
