The Los Banos Golden Agers recently spent a sunny Sunday afternoon at Golden Gate Fields to enjoy a few hours of horse racing. Some of us were lucky to bring home a couple of extra bucks from betting on the ponies, but everyone had a great time.
The bus trip was filled with food, laughs and games. Our members do know how to have a good time!
On May 18 the Golden Age Club is presenting a concert by Joni Morris with her Tribute to the Music of Patsy Cline that is open to everyone. The concert will be held at the Los Banos Community Center Grand Ballroom and starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person.
A no-host bar will be available when the doors open at 6 p.m. This concert is open to club members and non-members over 21.

The Golden Ager’s monthly dinners are always a hit and a sellout. There are more trips planned in the coming months so don’t miss out on the fun. New members, available to anyone over the age of 50, can join anytime for the $10 membership fee.
Membership year is Jan 1 through Dec 31. Memberships are sold at the Los Banos Community Center Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Just a final thought, Some of us can still remember when being rich was standing in front of the penny candy counter with a quarter.
