Special to The Westside Express

On Feb. 25, a large group of family and friends, hosted by her two daughters Linda Teixeira and Cindy Silva and their families, met in the banquet room at España’s Southwest Bar and Grill with a special mom, Nanie (Grandma), and friend to celebrate a milestone of happy moments and cherished memories.

Theresa Elizabeth Pisano was born on February 27, 1925 at home on Badger Flat Road in Los Banos to Vincenzo and Manuela Pisano. She was the youngest of seven children.

Theresa has lived through many wars, the depression, and the loss of many loved ones, but most of all her husband, Joe Giannone, whom she was married to for 65 years before his passing in July 2015.

She has lived through many presidents, world changes, and not to mention technology at its finest.

Her daughter Linda said, “We have been blessed to have her with us for all these years.  She has seen her daughters grow up, supporting them in everything, and was there to watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren come into this world and grow into the individuals that they are today.”

Theresa has two daughters, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.  Theresa has been and continues to be a strong woman, a woman of faith, and for those who know her, she is as feisty now as she was back in her younger days. We continue to wish mom good health, happiness, and many more years of making memories with her.

We love you and are forever grateful and blessed. Happy 99 years young.
