Police responded to a report of domestic violence in the 2200 block of Canania Court at 1 a.m. on Aug. 3.
According to Los Banos Police Cmdr. Ray Reyna, a 42-year-old woman at the residence told police her live-in boyfriend assaulted her after an argument causing injuries to her leg and face. She was treated for minor injuries and released from Memorial Hospital Los Banos.
Her boyfriend, Mellon C. Moseley, 53, was not at the residence when police arrived but was arrested the next day leaving a gym in the 1300 block of West Pacheco Blvd., Reyna stated.
Reyna reported, at the time of his arrest Moseley was in possession of several pills, some of which police believe were anabolic steroids and ecstasy. A loaded firearm and a concealed firearm carry permit were also allegedly in his possession.
Moseley was booked into the Merced County Jail suspected of domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a loaded firearm.
