By NATHAN OGAN
Pastor, Calvary Baptist Church, Los Banos
The Apostle Paul writes in his letter to the Colossians, 3:15, “Let the peace of
Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
I think he had it right when he insisted that believers allow the peace of Christ to rule in their hearts. However, interestingly, he adds a kind of stand-alone statement to go with that, when he writes, “And be thankful.” I’m not sure much needs to be added to Paul’s remarks other than to agree to let the peace of Christ rule in one’s heart—and to be thankful.
