On Friday, Oct 21, the Los Banos JV football team traveled to Lathrop and dropped a 20-6 decision to the Spartans.
Lathrop scored two touchdowns (one by Jayden Tiger and one by Chris Ramos) before Los Banos finally found the endzone.
Tiger quarterback Ethan Briseno followed a Brayden Milojevich block into the endzone from 10 yards out. The PAT failed, and Los Banos cut the Spartan lead to 14-6. That was all the scoring the Tigers would do in this game, and the Spartans added another Ramos touchdown to make the final score 20-6 in favor of Lathrop.
The Tigers had some stellar performances on defense led by eight tackles from Owen Baffunno and Damien Calderon, Adrian Rivas, Abel Carrillo, Shane Soares, Angel Valero, and Jared VanLobenSels each added five stops for Los Banos.
