On Oct. 29th, at the AG Sports Complex located at 700 N. Mercey Springs Rd. you can enjoy a spooky
night in the park! Our Fall Festival is back, and this year, we are hosting it at night from 5:00 p.m. to
10:00 p.m. The event includes vendors, fun games, crafts, inflatables, pumpkin painting and a spooky
maze! The event is free to attend and concludes with a special viewing of Hocus Pocus beginning at
dusk.
This year is Los Banos Parks and Recreation’s biggest year in terms of projects. We are excited to be
working on several projects such as the new park design at Shaunessy Village and the replacement of
the restroom facility at the AG Sports Complex. Plans also include new construction of the overflow
parking lot at the Community Center and the construction of new pickleball courts at Cresthills Park 700
Pioneer Rd.
Los Banos Parks and Recreation invites the community to learn more about these projects and more at
the Oct. 18th, Parks and Recreation Commission. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Los Banos City
Hall 520 J St. The meeting will include a special presentation on the pickleball court project at Cresthills
Park.
The Los Banos Parks Division is also excited about upcoming small projects, including playground
installations at Davis Park, 254 Santa St., and Little Page Park, 600 Page Ave. The Miller and Lux Building
at 830 Sixth St. is scheduled for exterior painting. Staff will also be working on a major tree trimming
project, including the trimming of Downtown trees.
