passed away on August 26, 2022 in Merced, Ca. at the age of 91. She was born to Matilda and Albert Manss on February 13, 1931 in Chillicothe, Ohio. While a child, her family relocated to California, and she graduated from North Hollywood High School. Gloria was married to the late John McAdam for 52 years, until his passing in 2001. Gloria and John established KLBS AM & FM Radio Stations in Los Banos in 1961 and were owners/ managers, until their retirement in 1982. After moving to Merced she enjoyed searching for and buying antiques and collecting “many” Teddy Bears. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Roxanne Moore, and is survived by her son Mike McAdam(Marlene), grandson Dustin McAdam(Kym), and great grandson Dustin Michael McAdam all of Los Banos, and her brother Jack Manss (Evie) of Rancho Murieta.
Thank you to the staff of Pacifica Senior Living in Merced, for their compassionate care given to Gloria these past 2 years. Donations in her memory may be sent to; Our Lady of Fatima School 1625 Center Ave. Los Banos, CA 93635. Private family graveside services were held at Merced Cemetery District located in Merced on September 9, 2022.
