For the third week in a row, the Dos Palos Bronco varsity football team ended up on the losing end of the game, this time at the hands of Liberty High School.
Liberty scored on four of their seven possessions, the first coming on a 27-yard scoring pass in the first period. With the conversion Liberty had a7-0 lead.
Dos Palos quarterback Peyton Van Worth scored on a 2-yard run. and when Jesus Bon added the PAT, the score was tied at 7-7.
Liberty scored two more times in the third period on touchdown runs of 18 and 45 yards, making the score 21-7 in their favor.
Hernan Hernandez closed the gap to 21-14 when he scored on a 16-yard touchdown run, and Bon added the PAT.
However, that was as close as the Broncos would come in this game, and when Liberty added a late 4-yard touchdown run, they closed out the game by the score of 28-14. Quarterback Peyton Van Worth completed 12 of 22 passes for 63 yards and a touchdown and added 40 rushing and one touchdown.
