Fresh off their 41-19 victory over the Los Banos Tiger JV team, the Dos Palos Bronco JV football team garnered their second decisive win, this time over Summerville by the score of 51-20.
Freshman quarterback Gavin Estrada threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns, to Anthony Lish for 12 yards and to Jesse Tapia in a 34-yard scoring strike.
Running backs Andre Flores and Dominic Esquivel rushed for five touchdowns. Flores scored on touchdown runs of 70, 35 and 20 yards, while Esquivel found the end zone on a 10-yard run and a 1-yard plunge.
The Broncos had some fine performances on defense as well, with Tapia recovering a pair of fumbles, Flores grabbing a fumble and Jonathon Jasso intercepting a Summerville pass.
Estrada said after the game, “We have scored 92 points in two games, that shows a total team effort and a lot of hard work. I hope we can keep it going all season.”
