Everyone in and around Los Banos is invited to an August 23 public forum regarding the Downtown Master Plan
The Tuesday forum will be held in the grand room at the Los Banos Community Center (645 7th St.) from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The Los Banos Downtown Association is in the process of creating a master plan that will include improvements to landscaping, utilities, sidewalks, crosswalks, bicycle facilities and traffic management.
The association is being helped by the Mark Thomas Engineering Firm consultant group. The engineering firm met with the association’s steering committee July 25 to get initial ideas and now wants to get as much public input as possible.
The Downtown Master Plan is a project that aims to enhance downtown Los Banos by promoting areas of development, potentially transforming it into a “retail, cultural, recreational, and entertainment center.”
