The Los Banos Tiger football team hosted four out-of-town schools in a round of 7-on-7 passing league scrimmages on June 15.

Adam Aguilar made his presence known on both sides of the ball all afternoon long.  The soon-to-be junior in high school hauled in two touchdown passes, one each for Wyatt McBride and David Herrera.

On defense, Aguilar led the Tigers with three pass deflections and made a game ending interception against Madera South.

In their first scrimmage, the Tigers defeated Tranquillity by three touchdowns to 0 score. Herrera connected on two touchdown passes to Ayden Barcellos and McBride hit Aguilar on the third score.

Los Banos defeated Madera South by a 2-0 margin with McBride connecting with Kayson Welch for the first touchdown, and Herrera hit Byron Zuniga with a second scoring strike.  The shutout was complete with stellar defense by Mark Carreiro, Ray Fernandez, George Garcia, as well as Aguilar and Welch.

The Tigers completed their third scrimmage victory with a 3-2 defeat of the Chowchilla Tribe, with Welch, Barcellos and Aguilar each hauling in touchdown passes for Los Banos.

Los Banos only had trouble in their game with Mendota, as the Aztecs held the Tigers scoreless and claimed a 2-0 victory

Entering the 2022 WAC conference football season, the Tigers will feature several returning starters for last year’s playoff team. David Herrera will lead the Tiger offense again at quarterback, and he has a talented group of receivers to throw to.
