Over 300 people from throughout the county and beyond enjoyed a meal of tongue, green salad, garbanzo salad, potato salad, lamb stew, barbecued lamb chops, French fries, bread, cheese, and of course ice cream. The dinner featured wine from Nickel Family Farms, descendants of Henry Miller who still farm in Dos Palos.
The Y Service Club serves the Dos Palos, Los Banos, Firebaugh, Santa Rita, and Oro Loma communities. Through the years, it has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Valley Children’s Hospital, local 4-H & FFA programs, scholarships, and families in tragedy.
