Dear garden enthusiasts:

I hope the new year is treating everyone well and that all are in good health.

This year along with writing Garden Guru articles, working with the city as a Tree Commissioner and giving garden demonstrations I want to offer my horticulture experience to the public.

I am willing to meet with homeowners and help out by studying their existing landscape and write an extensive report. This report would consist of improving existing soil conditions, improving lawn care, irrigation and much more.

For folks who are thinking about building a new house, I can help by setting the orientation of the house within the property. Most of the time the orientation on the property is not even considered. This is followed by a landscape design. The design set would include grading cut-and-fill of soil, making sure there’s proper drainage and contours, collection of surface water and daylighting away from house.

I can aid in landscape, showing new plants, trees and lawn, as well as any retainer walls, walkways, fencing, patio cover and pools.

Finally, I would provide an irrigation and outdoor lighting plan.

I am also offering my expertise as a certified Arborist. I would come out, study the existing trees and write an extensive report.

If anyone is in need of landscape expertise, please write to me at markgardenguru@gmail.com
