On Saturday, March 23, on the Colorado Park ball fields, the Los Banos Little League held their annual “Opening Day” ceremonies.
The day began with Mike Garcia (a 24-year volunteer youth sports coach) throwing out the first pitch and concluded with 26 Little League teams hitting the diamond for the first time in 2025.
Little league President Dustin Caropreso told The Express that 375 youngsters comprised six major league teams, eight AAA league teams, four AA league squads and eight T-ball teams all playing their first games of the 2025 little league season.
The games will resume this week with games at the Colorado ball fields on Wednesday nights, Thursday nights and all day on Saturdays.
