Los Banos Mayor Michael Amabile and members of the Los Banos City Council will join Peninsula Clean Energy CEO Shawn Marshall and others at a March 28 ribbon cutting for the new solar carports at the Los Banos Community Center.
The carports are expected to save Los Banos more than $1 million over their lifetime. They were installed as part of Peninsula Clean Energy’s GovPV program, which required no upfront costs to the city and used union labor for construction.
The ribbon cutting will take place on March 28 from noon to 2 p.m at the Los Banos Community Center located at 645 7th Street.
Notable speakers and attendees include: Los Banos Mayor Michael Amabile, Interim City Manager Gary Brizzee, District 2 Councilmember Evan Sanders, District 3 Councilmember Marcus Chavez, District 4 Councilmember Deborah Lewis and Peninsula Clean Energy CEO Shawn Marshall.
