Gary Joseph Gallichio was born June 2, 1961, in Los Banos, CA. Upon Graduation from Los Banos High School in June of 1979, Gary went into the Army. He graduated at the top of his class and was given the choice of his duty stations – he chose Washington, DC. Gary served under President Carter for part of his last term in office, served under President Reagan for both of his terms and the first part of President Bush’s term. After 10 years of service to our country, Gary retired. After Gary’s military retirement he went on to work for Boeing for 9 years, was the Network Administrator for Reading is Fundamental for 18 years and was the Desktop Technician for the Bureau of Indian Affairs until his second stoke and cancer diagnosis. In his free time, he attended and volunteered at this church where he became a deacon, sang in the choir, and volunteered at the church’s food pantry. He became an integral member of the congregation and community alike. He was kind, courteous, gracious, respectful, patient, compassionate, caring and had the uncanny ability to always look at the good in everyone. All traits in which his sons were raised with. Gary leaves behind a legacy that will surely be missed and remembered fondly by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Gallichio of Los Banos, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Martha Bernal of Crows Landing and paternal grandparents, Joe and Flora Gallichio of Los Banos. Gary is survived by his 2 sons, Elijah (Melissa) and Edward (Colleen), his mother Frances, 2 brothers, Richy (Becky) and Robby, his sister Susan, and his grandchild Roman.
