The Los Banos community will gather downtown this Fourth of July for an evening of family fun, live entertainment and fireworks at Henry Miller Plaza.
The Los Banos Downtown Association will host its annual Fourth of July Celebration on July 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Henry Miller Plaza, located at 600 H Street in Los Banos.
The free community event will include food trucks, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, giveaways, raffles, carnival fun and live music by Troublesome Band.
The celebration is expected to bring families, friends and community members together in the heart of downtown Los Banos for one of the city’s most popular summer traditions.
The event gives residents a chance to enjoy Independence Day in a local setting without having to travel outside the community.
Henry Miller Plaza has long served as a gathering place for downtown events, and the Fourth of July celebration continues that tradition by offering activities for people of all ages.
Families can enjoy food from local vendors, children’s activities, face painting and entertainment throughout the evening before the night ends with fireworks.
The Los Banos Downtown Association, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting and promoting historic downtown Los Banos, continues to play an important role in bringing community-centered events to the area.
Its Fourth of July celebration not only gives residents a place to celebrate the holiday but also helps bring attention and foot traffic to the downtown district.
This year’s celebration will also take place during a historic national moment. In 2026, the United States will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, making Independence Day celebrations across the country especially meaningful.
For Los Banos, the event offers a local way to honor the holiday while celebrating community pride, family connection and the spirit of downtown.
Residents planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early, as downtown events often draw large crowds. Since the event is free, families can enjoy the evening without an admission cost while supporting local vendors and community organizations.
Attendees should also follow city fireworks rules and use only legal “Safe and Sane” fireworks where permitted. The City of Los Banos reminds residents that illegal fireworks include those that explode, leave the ground or do not carry the State Fire Marshal Safe and Sane seal.
Event details were listed in the City of Los Banos Parks and Recreation Activities Newsletter and by the Los Banos Downtown Association.

At this year’s downtown Los Banos Fourth of July celebration, children will be able to enjoy rides as they did last year.
