A Los Banos man was arrested last week for alleged unauthorized weapons possession, according to the Los Banos Police Department.

Police received information connected to a convicted felon that led them to seek a search warrant. On Jan. 27, the warrant was served at a residence on the 1800 block of Saint Patrick Drive, police said.

During the search, investigators seized multiple firearms and ammunition. The items recovered included two AR-style firearms, multiple magazines and 37 rounds of 5.56 ammunition from a bedroom area.

Additional firearms, including a Glock 26, a Rock Island M1911 handgun and a Mossberg 500 shotgun, were located elsewhere in the residence.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested Adam Zepeda, 25, of Los Banos on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition.

Zepeda was taken to the Los Banos Police Department Jail. No bail had been set as of presstime.
