Florence Viola Walsh Dryden was born August 22, 1926, in Los Banos, California to Frank Walsh and Mary Tehera Walsh as the seventh of eleven children.

Married 3 times, Buck Hazelton, William Burkett & Edward Dryden and loving mother of 5 children, William (Bill) Burkett Jr. (Evelyn), Diana Rice (Lanny), Pam Carpenter (d. Joe), Phyllis White (Ron) and Edward (Eddie) Dryden. Florence and Ed moved to St. Helen’s, Oregon in 1966 to be closer to her sisters Irene and Kathrine (Cookie). She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and watching old movies. She was a devoted member of St. Fredric’s Catholic Church and enjoyed volunteering for church events alongside her sisters.

After 98 fulfilling years, Florence left behind a legacy that continues to thrive. She is survived by 4 of her children, 20 grandchildren 46 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. Florence passed peacefully on November 2 at home with her daughters. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, son Edward (Eddie) and 5 grandchildren.

Her services were held at St. Fredric’s Catholic Church on November 16th at 10am, followed by graveside services at Columbia Memorial Gardens in Scappoose, Oregon and reception at the Best Western St. Helens, Oregon.
