New officers for the upcoming school year are President Jaylene Barriga , Vice President Zoey Wooten, Secretary Karley Rocha, Treasurer Nathan Campiotti, Reporter Jaci Bretz, and Sentinel Leah Rogers.

The team spent the retreat planning events for the upcoming school year and participating in team bonding activities.

During this retreat, the officers decided on this year’s theme, “Blue Jackets, Gold Standards.” The officers were responsible for designing this year’s program of activities, as well as the new t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts for the school year using this theme.

The chapter Sentinel was the one who came up with the idea of “Blue Jackets, Gold Standards” and the group decided to choose this as their theme for the year because education and unity are their top priorities.

“These blue jackets represent a sense of pride and unity but also tradition, values and commitment. Gold standards are an emphasis on our high standards and excellence in agricultural education,” Sentinel Rogers said.

The team also spent this time learning the ropes and responsibilities of each of the officer positions and mapping out the year by preparing for the chapter’s activities for this upcoming school year.

The team had a productive three days and everyone is excited for this year.

“I’m so excited to kick off this school year as a team. It was so nice to bond and work together with the officers on events for this upcoming year,” President Barriga said.

The first FFA meeting will be held on Aug. 19.
