Pacheco High served host to summer basketball games over the weekend. Six varsity teams and five JV teams played a round robin schedule starting Friday afternoon and concluding on Saturday afternoon.
Under the direction of Pacheco first year head coach Trent Taylor, the idea was to get some summer experience and to see what his new team would look like.
The highlight of the weekend was Friday evening when the host Panthers faced off with Los Banos High.
The Tigers jumped out to a 21-0 lead before Pacheco clawed back to make it 29-21 before falling 41-29. The win helped Los Banos go 5-0 on the weekend and served as the lone loss for Pacheco who finished at 4-1.
