The 1000 block of 11th Street in Los Banos Thursday morning, Feb. 29, was the location for this year’s Every 15 Minutes reenactment. Every 15 Minutes is a two-day program focusing on high school junior and seniors, challenging them to think about drinking and driving and the responsibility of making mature decision. Los Banos City Fire and CalFire, California Highway Patrol, Riggs Ambulance, Medi-Flight, chaplains from the Los Banos Police Department and Whitehurst Funeral Chapel all participated in the event. A two-car accident was staged whereby Los Banos High School students were drinking and driving after attending prom. All of the students from the junior and senior classes attended the event and watched the various stages of a fatal accident. On Friday, March 1, students on the campus attended a funeral service for the accident “victim”.
