Stephen Paul Burcham passed away at the age of 63 on November 30, 2023. He was born to Lionel Burcham and Sandra Grubstick in Los Angeles, CA on October 7, 1960.

Steve had many lifetimes rolled into one. He was a mechanic, computer technician, carpet cleaner, bartender, and farmer. He mastered everything he put his mind to and had the strongest work ethic. Steve was kind and generous, though you’d never know by his stoic appearance with his eyebrows forever knitted together.

He was full of love. His family, friends, and dogs were his greatest joys. Steve loved his wife fiercely. They loved traveling and took many trips to Pismo Beach, Santa Barbara, Hawaii, Charleston, and Mexico. Steve broke into the community and won over the hearts of everyone in Firebaugh.

He was a man of faith. He always carried extra Bibles to give to strangers he came across who needed one. He used his varied life experiences to connect with others through conversations and sermons, letting them know they were not alone and they would be okay.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents Lionel and Sandy, his parents-in-law Larry and Linda Gage, his aunt Joan, his grandfather Lou, Paul and Barbara Marchetti, and Frank Avalos. He is survived by his wife, Klytia, his children, Paul and Brandi, her husband Justin, his brother Gary and his wife Cindy, his sister Lindsey, his stepmother Sue, his nephews Lionel, Jeremy, and Jason, and grandsons Constantine and Christian.
