It was more of the same Friday night for the Pacheco Panther (1-6 overall, 0-5 WAC) varsity football team, as they dropped their fifth straight WAC conference football game to the visiting Ceres Bulldogs by the score of 34-0.

The Panthers played the game very short-handed with several starting players not in the line up due to discipline reasons.

Brennan Watkins started his first game at running back for Pacheco and could only amass 16 yards on 10 carries.

Sophomore quarterback Aiden Pikas had a respectable night passing, completing six throws for 105 yards, with Arturo Anguiano grabbing three passes for 47 yards..

But that was all the Panthers could muster, as the Bulldog defense dominated the game all night long.

Daven Cablay paced the Panther defense with six tackles, and two pass interceptions. Adam Loretto recorded game high tackle honors with 10 stops and Ryan Torres added three tackles and two quarterback sacks.

In a see-saw battle the Panther JV team defeated the Bulldogs by the final score of 22-20.

Xander Razo had a big game for the Panther Frosh squad, recording seven tackles and scoring the only touchdown for Pacheco, but the young Panthers dropped the game by the score of 12-6.

The junior varsity Panthers defeated Ceres 22-20.

This Friday Pacheco will host Mountain House. Junior varsity starts at 5 p.m.
