The May Day Fair Awards Ceremony proved to be an exciting event for the Los Banos High School Ag team. In the category of mechanics, many LBHS students were recognized for their outstanding work.
Hayden Frigard won her award for Outstanding Medium Project in the Beef Panel.
Grant Jones’ excellent presentation of his Maple Syrup Evaporator was a win in more than one category, not the least of which in honoring a family tradition. Jones was awarded the Most Innovative or Original Award. He also had the honor of Outstanding Overall Recreational Project which comes with a $1,000 cash reward.
The winner of the Outstanding Arc Welding Award was Brokton Borelli for work on his forklift hitch. Jet Lindeman was awarded with Best Rebuild Project Award for work on a Utility Trailer.
The Los Banos High School Ag. Mechanics team had several wins. Together the team won Best Overall Chapter at the fair.
