Clifford Serafim Souto passed away at the age of 62 on Wednesday , April 5th 2023 in Pahrump, NV. He leaves behind his father Serafim and brother Michael, his partner Christine of 40 years and family who love him more than words can express. Also cousin Jim & God child Nancy. They were often visitors with us & came to see & care for him at the nursing home. He was preceded in death by his mom Mary, sister Elsie and his little buddy Jonathan.

While in high school, Cliff began work at Jerry’s Restaurants as a busboy/dishwasher, ending 25yrs later as a general manager working in 5 western states managing, opening/closing, remodeling or rebranding dozens of restaurants. Moving to Bakersfield he managed several Denny’s restaurants before changing careers and becoming a materials tester for various highway construction projects for Caltrans. He retired in 2017 to his home in Pahrump, NV. He & Christine lived there from 2004, enjoying the high desert & nearby Las Vegas, until his stroke in 2021. Cliff was an avid sports fanatic, cheering for his Vikings, Dodgers, Lakers, Fresno & Bakersfield ice hockey teams & the Las Vegas baseball, hockey, basketball teams. He enjoyed motorcycles, biking, woodworking & collecting sports cards, music/concert memorabilia especially Led Zeppelin, Slayer & Soulfly, & hats. He & Christine did a lot of traveling for work & fun, especially enjoying 2 trips to Green Bay (go Pack go!), a 2-week cruise to Hawaii & trips to Mexico, Florida & the Caribbean. He made friends everywhere & will be greatly missed by Bob Nelson, Chad Price, Bart Goldberg, Caltrans co-workers Jim, Roger & Tamara, Randy, Fred, Rick, Eric, Mickey & Jim.

Visitation will be Monday April 24th at 5pm, rosary to follow at 7pm Whitehurst. Mass will be held Tuesday April 25th at 10am at St Joseph’s church, Burial Los Banos Cemetery.
