The Sixth Annual Los Banos Elementary School’s “Color Run” has been scheduled for Saturday, March 11, in the Gardens Basin Park at 525 Persimmon St. in Los Banos.
In the Color Run participants jog or walk for 3.1 miles wearing white shirts while getting doused in colored powder. Check in time will be from 8 to 9 a.m.. The run will start at 9 a.m.
Registration is now taking place and will continue up to the day of the run. Early bird registration is $20 through Feb. 5. Regular registration ($25) will run from Feb. 6 through Feb. 19. Late registration ($30) will take place from Feb. 20 through March 11.
Proceeds from the run will be used to buy library books and upgrade physical education equipment at Los Banos Elementary School.
Persons who want to be guaranteed a shirt, a color-run packet, and race bib need to register by Feb. 19.
Individuals can register for the run online using the website luckrunswithlbe2023.eventbrite.com using a credit card, or they can come to the LBE main office and pay with cash.
Persons can also sponsor a student participating in the run by providing the registration fee through the website or coming to the school office.
