In October we had several FFA activities.
On Oct. 3 we had our monthly chapter meeting. We had about 80 members attend the October meeting. On Oct. 4, we had the Fall BBQ, and it was a great success.
There was a record book workshop on Oct. 5. The Greenhand Conference was on Oct. 18, and four greenhands attended. The Opening/Closing Contest took place on Oct. 12, The officer team won gold, and our greenhand team won gold as well.
Our FFA officer team attended and six greenhands attended as well, Angel Ramirez, Sentinel; Lolo Clark, Reporter; Stephanie Verduzco, Vice President; Jesus Bon, President; Armando Sanchez, Secretary; and Jordan Jasso, Treasurer. Congratulations to Angel Ramirez for receiving Outstanding Sentinel.
The National Convention took place on Oct. 26 through Nov. 2, and we had four members attend this convention.
Our canned food drive began on Nov. 7. Students can still bring in cans and earn up to three activity points. Every 10 cans students bring will earn them one activity point.
