The Dos Palos High varsity volleyball team, fresh off a 10-0 West Sierra League season and a league title, opened Central Section valley play as the No. 1 seed in Div. 6.

Under head coach Madison Hunger, the Broncos opened the playoffs against Wonderful Prep Academy-Lost Hills.

That led to a second-round game against West High-Bakersfield, and the team from the south valley defeated Dos Palos 3-1, ending their season.

Against Wonderful Prep, Dos Palos won in three straight matches, 25-10, 25-18, 28-26.

The Broncos were led by Senior captain, outside hitter Kiley Lish who led all players with 17 kills.  Senior captain and setter Denise Fonseca had 38 assists. 

The Broncos also had outstanding play from Sophomore hitter Marissa Merrell (11 kills) and Freshman Hannah Slimp (7 kills).

The Broncos dominated the 2022 West Sierra League with their stellar defense led by defensive specialists Junior Alexa Paniagua and Junior Tayla Tatarakis.

Junior Bianca Zapata finished the contest with four serving aces.
