The senior youth football teams from both Los Banos and Dos Palos met in Dos Palos Sept. 24 in a Tri-County League matchup, and it was all Los Banos (4-0) in a 24-6 victory for the Tigers.

The youth Tigers dominated from the start, as Eric Franco returned the opening kickoff 82 yards for the first of four Los Banos touchdowns.  The PAT failed and the Tigers had a 6-0 advantage.

On the ensuing kickoff Zaryn Affonso-Stiers stripped the ball from the Bronco return man and then recovered the loose pigskin at the Los Banos 45-yard line.  However, the drive stalled, and Los Banos had to punt the ball away to the Broncos.

Javier Flores got the ball back for the Tigers when he sacked the Bronco quarterback on fourth down, turning the ball over to Los Banos. From there Tiger quarterback Eric Franco connected with Moises Perez on a beautiful 88-yard pass and catch for a Los Banos touchdown, making the score 12-0 in favor of the Tigers.

Perez made the score 18-0 in favor of the Tigers when he scampered 79 yards on a quarterback keeper.

Los Banos closed out its scoring late in the fourth period, when Zaiden Nerell stripped the ball from the Bronco quarterback just before he crossed the goal line and returned the ball 98 yards for a Tiger touchdown and a 24-0 advantage.

The lone bright spot for the Youth Broncos was running back John Snapp, who rushed for well over 100 yards and on the last play of the game scored on a two-yard touchdown run, making the final score read 24-6 in favor of the Los Banos senior youth Tigers.
