The Firebaugh High School girls tennis team is currently undefeated in preseason play at 5-0.
The team recently participated in the California Classic Tournament at Buchanan High on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9 and 10. They took first place for the first time in school history.
The team has two more tournaments before league play begins. They will play Sep. 16 and 17 in the Madera South Grapevine Classic.
The other will be held Sept. 23 and 24 as they host the Firebaugh Ferry Tournament.
The Eagles are coached by Juan Esparza and lead by seniors, Aurora Ramirez, Mayoni Ramos, Celeste Ramos, Melany Navarro and Amy Anguiano.
