Firebaugh High School head volleyball coach Kacey Jones and Assistant Coach Darlene Demmers took the varsity volleyball squad to a two-day clinic at the University of Southern California. “The first day was a long day of volleyball, learning offensive skills, defensive skills, getting training from USC’s strength coach, and receiving information about nutrition,” said Jones.  The second day the Eagles participated in a tournament against other high schools at the camp.  The ladies also toured the USC campus and visited the Santa Monica Pier.  “Overall, the girls learned a lot and were able to bond as a team,” Jones added.  Firebaugh will open its 2022 season on Aug. 16 when it hosts Roosevelt-Fresno.
