The City of Los Banos Parks Division is helping to create a summer of fun with new projects and park improvements.
Crews will be installing a new playground at Catholic Park, 1140 5th St. And we plan on installing new scoreboards at the Colorado Ballpark, 815 Colorado Ave.
The Parks Division is requesting funding for a number of projects in the next fiscal year, including the installation of a shade sail at Verona Basin Park, 2200 Palermo Dr., turf improvements at Meadowlands II Park, 2700 Snow Goose St., and new playgrounds at Little Page Park, 600 Page Ave. and Davis Park, 254 Santa Ana St.
The Los Banos Parks and Recreation Division was the recipient of the per capita grant through the State of California Parks and Recreation Department, which allocates $177,952 for park improvement. These improvements include ball field improvements, including new outfield netting and turf and irrigation upgrades.
Los Banos Parks and Recreation is supported by Measure H funding. A full listing of upcoming recreational programs may be accessed at LosBanos.org. Please stay up to date with Los Banos Parks and Recreation through the Facebook page and on LosBanos.org.
