Led by the outstanding play of Es’ence Walker and Abigail Pikas, the Pacheco Panther girls volleyball team scored the sixth win of the season.

The Panthers defeated the Dos Palos Broncos with 3 straight set wins on Sept. 7, in the Panther gym.

In the junior varsity game, the Panthers defeated the Broncos in two straight sets to earn their sixth victory of the season. Strong play by Sasha Siemiller and McKensie Shryosk helped the Panthers improve their record to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in WAC play.

The following day the Panthers (7-3 overall, 2-1 WAC) recorded their second consecutive shutout (3-0), this time over the Grace Davis Spartans.

The Panthers defeated the Spartans by scores of 25-7, 25-10 and 25-10 to improve to 2-1 in WAC conference play and 7-3 overall.

Coach Daniel Maldanado praised the play of Sophia O’Brien, Daisy Rivera and Kameryn Cortines for their overall performances helping Pacheco to their second straight shutout victory.

In the JV match the Panthers defeated Davis in two straight sets and claimed their sixth victory of the year and improved their WAC conference record to 2-1.  Caidyn Lee and Erica Garza paced the young Panthers with stellar play all over the court.
